Family Resources & Child Care Education provides the community with services that
enhance the quality of early care and education for young children. A multi-faceted organization,
FRCCE provides services to families, child care professionals and the community at large.
For Families
FRCCE assists families in finding child care. Three levels of child care searches are provided:
- Free Level: Available to all families looking for child care in Jefferson, Park, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties.
Provides consumer education in the selection of child care and computerized referrals of licensed child care providers in the area of the family's request.
- Vacancy Level: For a minimal fee, a Family Resources counselor will contact child care providers on behalf of
the family requesting the search to verify immediate openings.
- Enhanced Level: Customized child care search that includes cross streets, fees and activities.

FRCCE CCAP Eligible families can now apply for CCAP and at the same time receive comprehensive referrals for their child care.
For Child Care Professionals
Training for early childhood professionals includes:
Grand Beginnings,
CPR, Certificate Classes, First Aid and
Professional Caregiving Basics. Training is provided in cooperation with
the Early Childhood Programs Department of Red Rocks Community College.
For the Community
S.K.I.L.L.S.: Supporting Kids In Learning Life Skills is a 6 hour substance abuse and violence prevention training for all parents, child care providers and professionals who work with children 0-6 years of age.
C.A.R.E.S.: Developed in response to existing gaps in the supply and quality of child care for low income families in Jefferson County.
Offers equipment grants, staff training and mentoring. Includes the ABC's & 123's Program, the Yes, You Can Do It Program and the CARES Request Line.
