Joan distributed copies of the Triad Budget. The document includes funding categories that are being utilized for the implementation of the Triad objectives. The budget details the Quality Enhancement Grant received by Jefferson County Human Services; reflected in the budget as Jeffco CARES, the allocation received from the Department of Human Services; reflected in the budget as Consolidated, and the mini grant funds that were received for the Triad pilot sites from the Colorado Department of Education. The column entitled YCPI shows the request by line item based on the Triad Objectives for the $40,000 that is available from the Colorado Department of Education through the Youth Crime Prevention Grant (YCPI) they received for the pilots statewide. The combined budget of the child care operations of the Triad Sites will be included to show the complete revenues from tuition and other funding streams that currently pay the fees for child care services.
The YCPI request includes funds for parenting intervention and parenting prevention training, domestic violence counseling, establishment of a community access office for Clear Creek Family Connections, nurse consulting services from county health departments for the Triad Pilot sites, well child clinics established annually in several of the Triad Pilots, staff training and staff scholarships. A summary of the goals and objectives for the YCPI activities was also distributed. Jon Gallegos will discuss the possibility of Jefferson County Human Services acting as fiscal agent for the funds coming from the YCPI award with Terry Green, the director of Jefferson County Social Services.

Donna Garnett from the Centers for Human Investment Policy (CHIP) will be attending our December meeting. CHIP is very interested in doing an in depth case study of the Triad.
