"Enabling Families in Times of Crisis" Wednesdays, April 21 and May 12 6:30-9:30pm. (6 hrs. total) Location TBA If you missed the first session, YOU MISSED A GREAT TRAINING!! Peggy Shannon from the Jefferson County Self Sufficiency Council will guide participants in understanding the fundamentals of assisting families in assessing needs and mobilizing community resources in partnership with the family. This is a valuable training for lay professionals working with families in crisis. |
"Ages and Stages: Helping Parents understand their Infant’s Development" Thursday, April 15 6:30-9:30 Red Rocks Comm College Children’s Center (East End) Staff from Jefferson County First Steps, will present the "Ages and Stages Infant Toddler Parent Assessment Tool". This evening is designed to help providers talk with parents about developmental milestones in their young children. |
"The Caregiving Forum" Wednesday, May 5th 6:30-9:30pm Red Rocks Community College Rm 1081 (East End) A panel discussion of parents and their caregivers will provide insight into creating successful caregiving partnerships when caring for children with special care concerns. The Developmental Disabilities Resource Center will be co-hosting this forum. |
