Mentoring
Mentoring is offered through the ABC's & 123's Program. Mentors spend six hours a month in child care facilities in Jefferson County. Mentors offer support, guidance with appropriate parenting techniques and ensuring children's needs are being met. Mentors must complete the ABC's & 123's Mentor Training Program and have experience in the child care field.

CARES Request Line
Parents and child care providers can discuss specific concerns about meeting the child care needs of children with challenging care issues by calling the CARES Request Line. The CARES Request line works with the caller to determine the needs and develop a strategy for addressing the concern. Strategies may include training, on-site visit from an expert from the Jefferson Center for Mental Health and mentoring.
